What to Do When Your Temporary Inbox Is Empty
What to Do When Your Temporary Inbox Is Empty

Confirm the current mailbox

Make sure the address shown in the MailDroply generator is the address you actually submitted. Reloading should not silently replace an existing mailbox; a new address should be created only when you request one.

Use refresh once

A manual refresh can request the latest mailbox state. Avoid repeatedly refreshing in rapid succession because it adds load without making the sending system deliver faster.

Check the sender

If the sender reports a delivery error or blocks disposable domains, the problem may be outside MailDroply. The sender's delivery status can provide more useful information than repeated browser refreshes.

Know when to stop

If the task is important enough that you cannot tolerate delivery uncertainty, use a permanent email address. A temporary inbox is intentionally designed for short-lived, low-risk communication.

An empty inbox is not always a bug

A new mailbox naturally starts empty. Even after a sender sends a message, delivery can take time or be rejected before it reaches the temporary-mail system.

A short troubleshooting sequence

Confirm the recipient address, wait, request one resend if appropriate, and check whether the sending service reports a delivery problem. Avoid repeatedly reloading the whole page. A lightweight inbox refresh is easier on both the browser and the server and reduces the chance of triggering rate limits.

Empty can be normal

A brand-new mailbox starts empty. That is expected. It also stays empty when the sender has not sent anything yet, when the address on the form is wrong, or when the sending system rejected a disposable domain.

A short diagnostic path

Check the visible MailDroply address. Confirm it is the same string you submitted. Use one inbox refresh. Wait a few minutes. Look at any error the other website showed. If you recently tapped Random New Email, go back to the original address with Restore if it is still active.

When to stop troubleshooting

If the task is a throwaway newsletter, an empty inbox is annoying but not serious. If the task is an account you need, stop using temporary email and switch to a permanent address. An empty disposable inbox should not become a reason to weaken the security of an important account.

Responsible use reminder

Use a temporary email address only for short-lived, low-risk tasks. Do not use MailDroply for banking, account recovery, medical records, government services, passwords or other information you cannot afford to lose. Keep the same address while you wait for a message. If the account matters, switch to a permanent mailbox you control.

Do not fight the empty state

The empty inbox message is information. It means nothing is stored for that mailbox right now. Combine it with the address check and the sender status. That is a complete first response.
