Information we process
We may process a temporary email address, mailbox timestamps, an internal access-token hash, incoming message metadata and message content needed to show the inbox. The browser may store the current address and access token so a reload can restore the mailbox.
Purpose
We process this information to operate the temporary-mail product, keep the current mailbox available on the same device, measure abuse, and respond to reports.
Retention
Active mailboxes and messages are kept for up to 30 days in the default configuration, then removed by cleanup. Page-view records that store a hashed IP are kept for up to 30 days. Abuse reports are kept for up to 180 days.
Cookies and local storage
Essential browser storage is used for the current mailbox. That storage is required for the service and is not an advertising cookie.
Google advertising cookies
If Google AdSense is enabled on content pages, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Ads will not be placed inside email messages or on screens whose primary purpose is reading a message. Where law requires consent for non-essential advertising cookies, that choice will be collected before those cookies run.
Children and sensitive data
Do not place passwords, payment data, medical records or government identifiers in a temporary inbox. The service is not designed to store those records.
Your choices
Stop using the site at any time. Clear site data in your browser to remove the local mailbox token. Email [email protected] with privacy questions and put “Privacy” in the subject.
