Why choose a custom name
A memorable local part can be easier to recognize when you are testing several services or returning to a task. It can also reduce mistakes when you need to type the address on another device.
Availability is not guaranteed
A custom name may already be in use or may fail the service's naming rules. Good interfaces explain the allowed characters and return a clear message when a name cannot be created.
Do not choose a sensitive name
Avoid putting a full real-world identity, phone number, or other personal information into a disposable address. A temporary address is often shared with a website, so keeping the local name generic can reduce unnecessary exposure.
Remember that custom does not mean permanent
A custom local part still belongs to a temporary mailbox. The same expiry and safety limitations apply regardless of whether the name was random or chosen by the user.

Custom is not reserved forever
If the name is taken or the mailbox expires, you may not get the same address later. Do not print a custom disposable address on a business card or use it as a public contact identity. Choose custom for convenience during one task, then let it expire.
